Annular diffusion denuder for simultaneous removal of gaseous organic compounds and air oxidants during sampling of carbonaceous aerosols
Original language description
Developed annular diffusion denuder allows sampling of carbonaceous aerosols on filters without positive sampling artefacts from volatile organic compounds and interferences from atmospheric oxidants. The denuder is designed for operation with filter samplers or other aerosol collectors which operate at an air flow rate up to 20 L min-1. The optimum sorbent is a mixture of activated charcoal and sulfite on molecular sieve.
