Original language description
Capillary electrophoresis with capacitively coupled contactless conductivity detection (CE-C4D) was employed for fast determination of meldonium (MEL) in urine samples after 1:9 dilution with deionized water. The method requires minute volumes of urine sample, is suitable for determination of ng/mL to mg/mL concentrations of MEL, is robust and accurate and is suitable for long-term analyses of urine samples without deteriorated analytical performance. This might be especially useful in analyses of large batches of urine samples associated with the actually increased need for MEL analyses and for initial testing of MEL-positive vs. MEL-negative urine samples.
