Cyclic deformation and fatigue behaviour of pearlitic railway wheel steel in HCF regime.
Original language description
Cyclic plastic behaviour, lifetime and fatigue limit at symmetrical loading has been experimentally studied on cylindrical specimens form pearlitic steel for railway wheels. Well defined saturation of cyclic properties has been found after short initialcyclic softening. The cyclic stress-strain curve satisfactorily describes the cyclic behaviour for the dominant part of the fatigue lifetime. The fatigue limit makes 40 percent of ultimate tensile strength.
