    The work characterizes the microstructure and phase analysis of the precipitates present in six low-alloy 0.5Cr- 0.5Mo-0.25V creep-resistant steels after long-term service. Four samples were from main steam piping and two samples from re-heat pipe-work.Chemical analysis and identification of the precipitates were carried out by energy dispersive Xray spectroscopy (EDXS) and selected area electron diffraction (SED), respectively. Thermodynamic calculations for the studied 0.5Cr-0.5Mo-0.25V steels were performed by software Thermo-Calc. The steels in equilibrium state consist of ferrite, MX, Cr-rich M7C3 or M23C6 and Mo2C phases.
