The experience with Czech adaptation of Proactive Coping Inventory
Original language description
This study summarizes the experience with Czech version of PCI, tested on a medium-size student sample (N=176). The obtained psychometric properties are comparable with the original version. An alternative 3-factor model suggested by factor analysis wastested and the quality of the model was compared with 7-factor model. Our data favoured the original 7-factor concept, in spite of the mutual correlations, which confirms the suitability of the PCI concept. The gender differences in PCI subscales and also the differences in students of various university majors (psychology, engineering, economy and human science) are studied and discussed.
