The present review describes the usefullness of various DNA sequences to resolve phylogenetic relationships within the order Diptera. Special attention is paid to the sequence variation at different taxonomical levels and special methods of DNA extraction.

Předkládané review popisuje použitelnost různých DNA sekvencí k analýze fylogenetických vztahů v řádu Diptera. Speciální pozornost je věnována analýze variability sekvencí na různých taxonomických úrovních a speciálním metodám extrakce DNA.
