Original language description

The paper deals with the issue of exporting food from the Crimean peninsula, above all from or through the city of Chersonesos. The paper is divided into a few parts, introducing the Northern Black Sea area, the Crimean peninsula and the city of Chersonesos. Furthermore, the foodstuff export from Crimea in Antiquity, the issue of the Scythian wars and their impact to the agriculture in Crimea is summarized. Then the situation of agriculture in the territory till the period of the 7th century AD is described. Eventually, other food products made in Cherson and exported from there are discussed.
