The Work Paths of Women in Science Before 1989 and Today: “In many respects I don’t envy young colleagues”
Original language description
The author examines the ways in which women’s work paths have changed in relation to the shifting structural conditions in research. She compares the narratives of early-career women researchers today and women researchers who built their career paths before 1989, and asks what the main factors are which directed the development of a career path before 1989, which factors affect work paths today, and what the key moments are in the women researchers’ narratives which structure their career paths.
