The workshop on „Populism, Polarization and Radicalization - Social Accountability as a Response to Populist Backsliding: An East Central European Perspective“ was held on Friday, April 26th. The workshop was attended by SYRI PA5 team members, Prof. Bernhard, and Assoc. Prof. Guasti. Prof. Bernhard delivered the keynote speech on „Social Accountability as a Response to Populist Backsliding: An East Central European Perspective,“ followed by a discussion. Petra Guasti presented on „Populism and Civil Society: Mobilization For and Against Liberal Democracy in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.“ The workshop concluded with a discussion on the effects of the pandemic on populism and polarization.
