Vitamin C, E and A levels in maternal and fetal blood examined at delivery in two districts - Teplice and Prachatice. Comparison of vitamins levels in mothers-smokers vs. mothers-nonsmokers, Gypsy mothers and Czech mothers, maternal and fetal blood. A higly significant correlation between vitamin C levels in maternal and cord blood and also an association between ascorbate levels and maternal education and smoking were found.
