Relationship between the capacity to repair 8-oxoguanine, biomarkers of genotxicity and individual susceptibility in styrene-exposed workers
Original language description
The article is devoted to analysis of capacity to repair oxidative DNA damage in lymphocyte extracts of 24 lamination workers occupationally exposed to styrene and compared with 15 unexposed controls using the modified comet assay. Influence of parameters of external and internal styrene exposure, the extent of DNA damage (DNA strand breaks, N1-styrene-adenine DNA adducts), chromosomal damage (chromosomal aberrations), mutant frequencies at the HPRT and SNPs in DNA repair genes on individual DNA repaircapacity was evaluated.
