ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters actively export a wide variety of molecules from cells, contributing to reduce the local cellular burden of toxic compounds. ABCG2/BCRP is abundantly expressed in epithelial cells of the intestine and colon. Thus,we found no strong and clearcut association between ABCG2 polymorphisms and CRC risk. To our knowledge this is the first report on ABCG2 and CRC risk.

Celogenní vyšetření polymorfizmu v ABCG2/BRCP transportery a vnímovast ke kolorektálnímu karcinomu
Czech description
ATP vazebný transporter aktivně exportuje širokou škálu molekul z buňky a přispívá k redukci lokálního výskytu toxických sloučenin. ABCG2/BCRP je hojně exprimován v epiteliálních buňkách v tlustém střevě. Selektovaly jsme 15 polymorfizmů, které pokrývajícelou známou oblast genetických variací genu u 680 pacientů s kolorektálním karcinomem a 593 kontrolních jedinců. V naší studii jsme nezaznamenali žádne signifikantní riziko vzniku CRC ve vztahu k polymoprfizmu ABCG/BRCP genu. Toto je první studie zabývající se vztahem ABCG2 a rizikem vzniku CRC.
