The Assessmebt of Genotoxic Potential of Organic Extracts from Particulate Truck Emissions from Diesel or Biodiesel (B100) Fuel
Original language description
In A549 cells, the emissions from diesel induced a stronger genotoxic effect than those from biodiesel. The emissions from extended engine idling appeared to be the most genotoxic. Oxidized DNA was repaired within 24 hours independently of fuel and engine operating mode. This suggests that various compounds play a key role in the genotoxicity of diesel and biodiesel.
