Survival of Exogenous Mesenchymal Stem Cells after Topical Application on Nanofiber Scaffold
Original language description
Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) in the adult organism play a substantial role in the maintenance of peripheral homeostasis. Because their regenerative and immunosuppressive properties, MSCs offer a promising therapeutic option. Intravenously applied MSCs are able to migrate into the side of injury, however majority of them are trapped in the vascularized organs. We established a model of topical application of MSCs seeded on nanofiber carries on damaged surface tissue, which might overcome disadvantages associated with systemic MSC administration.
