Electron spin resonance study of Mo3 + centers in YAlO3.

Result description

ESR measurements of Ce-doped YAlO3. single crystals (40-50ppm of Ce) grown by Czochralski method from Molibdenium crusibles evidanced two kinds of Mo3 + centers. The ESR spectra of both centers were described by spin Hamiltonian with orthorombic symmetryand an effective electron spin 1/2. The experimental g-factors as well as four magnetically nonequivalent positions found for each center support a hypothesis for Mo impurity ion is located at Al site

    Měřením elektronové spinové rezonance (ESR) byly v Ce dopovaném YAlO3. (40-50 ppm Ce) pěstovaném Czochralského metodou z molybdenového kelímku zjištěny dva druhy Mo3 + center. ESR spektra obou center byla popsána spinovým Hamiltoniánem orthorhombické symetrie s efektivním spinem 1/2. Experimentální g-faktory, stejně jako existence čtyř magneticky neekvivalentních pozic každého centra podporují hypotézu, že molybdenová příměs je lokalizována na Al pozici. Při vysokoteplotním žíhání a UV ozáření vykazujíMo centra změnu nábojového stavu, což svědčí o tom, že se účastní zachycování náboje při procesech přenosu a záchytu energie v tomto scintilačním materiálu
