    Composite optical waveguides of Eu doped Y2O3 nanolayers with various theoretical thicknesses from 10 to 0.2 nm embedded in an amorphous alumina matrix were prepared by targeted alternating pulsed laser ablation. The Eu3+ fluorescence properties show that Eu3+ ions are localized in different sites inside the nanolayers or nanoparticles or at the interface with the matrix, depending on the size of the nanostructure

    Metodou pulsní laserové depozice s alternací terčů byli připraveny kompozitní optické vlnovody Eu dopovaného Y2O3 nanovrstev s různou teoretickou tloušťkou v intervalu od 10 do 0.2 nm. Fluorescenční vlastnosti Eu3+ iontů ukazují, že tyto jsou lokalizovány v různých pozicích uvnitř nanovrstev nebo nanočístic nebo také na rozhraní s amorfní matricí v závislosti na velikosti nanostruktur
