    Effective dielectric response of anisotropic grains of close-packed structure

  • Original language description

    Polycrystal modeled as close-packed uniaxial grains (crystallites) of various orientaions can be described using the spectral representation. It is formally similar to the isotropic 2?component composite, but with different meaning of struc- tural characteristics. In particular, the volume fraction used in composites is replaced with the spacial mean value of crystallite orientations. It is illustrated on the simple example, that the structural quantities depends on the true volume fractions and also onthe orientations of grains.
