Nucleation kinetics in closed systems
Original language description
Homogeneous and heterogeneous nucleation kinetics in confined systems is studied and compared with classical nucleation theory. It is shown that critical supersaturation, when first nuclei are detected within system, increases in smaller volumes. In contrast to the classical nucleation theory, the decrease of supersaturation during phase transition ifluences kinetics of formation of nuclei.
