Adiabatic temperature change from non-adiabatic measurements
Original language description
A methodology to obtain the adiabatic temperature change from non-adiabatic measurements is presented. The methodology combines measurements of temperature changes in a homemade calorimetric device and a thermodynamic model for the energy losses. The results for Gadolinium indicate an ability to determine the real adiabatic temperature change in any magnetic material even far from adiabatic conditions.
