A new 1D polymeric three coordinated copper(I) complex, [Cu-2(mu-(2,6-Cl-ba)(2)en)(mu-I)(2)](n), with the bidentate Schiff base ligand N,N'-bis(2,6-dichlorobenzylidene)ethane-1,2-diamine containing a flexible spacer (=NCH2-CH2-N=) was synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, UV-Vis, FT-IR and H-1 NMR spectroscopy and thermal analaysis.
