Ageing of PVP/LiNbO3 solutions and its impact on the optical properties of Er3+/Yb3+:LiNbO3 waveguiding films
Original language description
We have demonstrated that PVP/2-methoxyethanol solutions of the Er–Yb–Li–Nb system can be used for the successful preparation of Er3+/Yb3+:LiNbO3 active waveguides. Naturally, our findings are directly applicable only within the presented sol-gel method that is not based on active hydrolysis (a polymer method using PVP), however, it shows that prepared solutions can be stored and used repeatedly for months without loss of reproducibility.n
