Preferable adhesion of anti-epileptic drug on hydrogen terminated nanodiamonds: FTIR study
Original language description
The usage of Fourier infrared spectroscopy for studies of preferable analyte adhesion is demonstrated on anti-epileptic drug and selectively terminated nanodiamonds combined with gold nanoparticles. The gold mirrors used as suitable substrates for IR spectroscopy are further substituted by interdigitated microelectrodes for electrical sensing. The results showed selectiveness of the phenytoin drug bond to differently terminated nanodiamonds where strong IR signal corresponding to the drug is detected on H-terminated nanodiamonds. Addition of gold NPs results to decrease of the signal corresponding to the drug. When O-terminated nanodiamonds with/without gold nanoparticles were used no evident drug signal was detected.n
