Characterization of the morphological nature of hollow spray dried dispersion particles using X-ray submicron-computed tomography
Original language description
One of the many applications of spray drying is to produce amorphous systems enabling improved dissolution profiles for poorly soluble pharmaceutical ingredients (API). Spray drying involves the rapid drying of an atomized feed solution consisting of organic and/or aqueous solvent(s) containing an API plus any additional components, such as polymers, used to deliver an amorphous system (1–4).n
