Magnetic structure of the Kondo-lattice antiferromagnet Ce2Cu2In and superconductivity in its La-analogue
Original language description
In the present work, the magnetic properties and structure of the Ce2Cu2In compound are investigated by means of specific heat and neutron diffraction measurements. Ce2Cu2Inorders antiferromagnetically below TN1 = 5.7(1) K followed by the order-to-order transition at TN2 = 4.7(1) K. The ground state magnetic structure of Ce2Cu2In is described by the propagation vector k = (0, 0, ½) and magnetic space group MSG 136.504 P42/mnm.1′c [P4/mbm]. The magnetic moment of 1.43(6) μB refined at T = 1.6 K is significantly lower than the free-ion Ce3+value.
