  • Original language description

    High energy pulses in 2um spectral band are important for many developing applicatiins. Besides environmental sensing or medical applications, there are also applications in micromaching of plastics and thanks to low absorption in atmosphere also in space lidars and defense. We will develop demonstrator of a mJ diode-pumped Ho-doped solid state laser delivering sub-picosecond pulses. It will adopt a MOPA architecture - a Ho or Tm-doped fiber oscillator will be followed by a rod-type amplifier. The system might use a stretcher-compressor pair as well.
