Seasonal variation of gravity wave activity in the lower ionosphere in Central Europe.
Original language description
The seasonal variation of gravity wave activity inferred from radio wave absorption in Central Europe displays a tendency to pronounced summer maximum, which is under high solar activity conditions compensated for by wintertime shift of meteorological sources of gravity waves closer to the region of ionospheric observations.
