Influence of Pressure Level and Stress Amplitude on the Compaction of Granular Soils.
Original language description
In order to model realistically the cyclic deformation with the hypoplastic relation, a concept of the so-called intergranular strain is introduced. The densification is investigated for a single homogeneous soil element which can be sufficiently definedwith single stress and stretching tensors. A numerical study shows the influence of various deformation modes, pressure level and stress amplitude on the rate of densification and on the work imput.
