Application of optical methods for examining historic structures
Original language description
This paper presents three currently-used optical methods: the Digital Image Correlation (DIC) method, the Method of Interpolated Ellipses (MIE) and the Coded Photometric Stereo method (CPS), which can be utilized for testing and characterizing historic structures. Both CPS and DIC can be used for in-situ testing as well as for laboratory testing non-standard specimens (which are used in cases when standard samples cannot be prepared standardized specimens and/or if non standard information is required).
