Original language description
The latter half of the 20th century can be called the heyday of Czechoslovak mosaic art even though it is just this period that caused the negative connotation of mosaic art as the tool of communist propaganda. Recently, mosaic art has been rehabilitated in the eyes of professionals and the general public thanks to many new publications, restorations and educational activities. However, the question remains as to the most effective method of restoration, conservation and presentation of such works to the next generation.
