    Integrated Environmental Design of Concrete Structures

  • Original language description

    Integrated environmental design and optimization is a process targeting reduction of negative environmental impact of products - civil engineering structures (buildings, bridges etc.), while increasing the structure's serviceability, durability and reliability throughout its entire expected life. These goals should be achieved while keeping the cost on a reasonable (minimum) level and performance at a feasible (maximum) level. The optimization process includes several optimization steps: material optimization - shape optimization - life-cycle optimization. A theoretical approach to environment-based integrated design and optimization of concrete structures is presented. The application of the process is shown on the case study of integrated environmental design of RC floor slab.

    Integrovaný environmentální návrh a optimalizace je proces cílený k redukci negativních environmentálních dopadů výrobků - stavebních konstrukcí (budov, mostů aj.), při současném zvyšování užitných vlastností konstrukcí, trvanlivosti a spolehlivosti v rámci celého životního cyklu. Aplikace procesu je ukázána na případové studii integrovaného environmentálního návrhu žalezobetonové stropní konstrukce.
