Biotoleration of Cycloolefin Copolymer and Its Blends "in vitro"

  • Original language description

Development and applications of new materials for replacements of skeletal elements are addressed to materials that have similar mechanical properties to biomechanical characteristics of organic tissues and are tolerated by biological tissues. These requirements are fulfilled by the cycloolefin copolymer (COC). Proliferation of synovial fibroblasts was faster on the COC-material than on the HDPE. The adhesion of cells to tested COC-material than to HDPE. Cells grown on tested COC-materials has been veryintensive. All biological tests in vitro showed the highest biotoleration of COC-copolymers. The cycloolefin copolymers are materials very well tolerated by synovial fibroblasts in vitro.

Biotolerance cykloolefínového kopolymeru a jeho blendů "in vitro"
