    A variational formulation of the incrementally-linear rigid-plastic approximation to crystal plasticity is set up. A crystal deformed in plane strain by symmetric double slip is considered as an example. It is shown under which conditions is an inhomogeneous deformation leading to subgrain formation energetically more favorable than the homogeneous one

Jako příklad je analyzován krystal deformovaný symetrickým dvojskluzem při rovinné deformace. Jsou určeny podmínky, za kterých je nehomogenní deformace vedoucí ke tvorbě podzrn energeticky výhodnější než homogenní deformace
