Sediment Load and Suspended Sediment Concentration Prediction

  • Original language description

The paper deals with methods used to predict total sediment load and suspended sediment concentration for a location within a catchment. Based on an empirical tool assessing soil erosion rate (the USLE) and sediment delivery ratio methods (SDR), it was demonstrated that such approach may be used for sediment concentration prediction. The results were verified against daily measured suspended sediment concentration. Significant correlation between predicted and observed data was found.
