This paper presents application of the fuzzy set theory in three civil engineering applications, specifically, heat transfer problem where the material parameters and the ambient temperature are uncertain, dynamic structural analysis of frame structuressubjected to a model seismic load, whose results are the internal forces and displacements, and fuzzification of the Chen model of plasticity whose all parameters are taken as fuzzy. All applications are described in illustrative examples
