Original language description
This paper presents application of the fuzzy set theory in three civil engineering applications, namely the heat transfer problem where the material parameters and the ambient temperature are uncertain, dynamic structural analysis of frame structures subjected to a model seismic load, whose results are the normal forces and displacements, and expression of fatigue of concrete when sparse experimental data are available. All applications are described in illustrative examples.
