Water Sorptivity Experiment and Its Role in Describing Liquid Water
Original language description
Several experimental setups for water sorptivity measurement are analyzed in the paper. An application of a fully automated setup which is identified as the most appropriate is presented for two characteristic cases of porous building materials, namely high performance concrete as material resisting well to water penetration and hydrophilic mineral wool as material transporting water rather fast. The role of water sorptivity in describing liquid water transport is discussed
