Effect of metakaolin addition on the moisture and salt transport and storage properties of high performance concrete is studied in the paper. The obtained data reveal the positive effect of metakaolin addition on the properties of studied concrete. The addition of fine grained metakaolin leads to lower total open porosity of studied material what takes effect on the deceleration of chloride transport. On this account a prolonged durability metakaolin modified high performance concrete can be anticipated
