    Time dependent behaviour of concrete slab prestressed with FRP

  • Original language description

    This paper presents deflection evolution of two concrete slabs (4500 x 600 x 200 mm) prestressed with internal FRP (Fibre Reinforced Polymer) reinforcement under sustained load. Two main types of FRP reinforcement were used: sand-coated glass (GFRP) andsand-coated carbon composite (CFRP). Behaviour of concrete slabs with pre-stressed FRP was observed for one year. Deflections and strain evolution were recorded manually in regular time intervals. Ratio of the time-dependent deflection to the initial deflection was verified experimentally for GFRP and CFRP prestressed slab. After a one year under the sustained load the ratio was 7.49 for the GFRP prestressed slab and 3.63 for the CFRP prestressed slab.
