Genetic Programming and Kriging Approximation in Optimization of Cement Paste Performance
Original language description
Modeling of hydrating concrete represents a challenging task especially due to multiscale nature and missing mathematical formulation of several underlying phenomena. Missing physical and mathematical description is replaced by cellular automata model. Question arises, whether results from this virtual model can be trusted. Here, Kriging metamodel is applied at prediction of hydration heat solely from experimental datasets. Next, Genetic Programming method is used to get the best possible agreement between regression surface and known hydration heat evolution. Then, the multi-objective optimization is carried out, optimizing maximal Young's modulus and minimizing hydration heat. Moreover, previously mentioned Kriging approximation is used as an estimation of accuracy of the cellular automata prediction.
