Fuzzy Logic Model for Assessment of Rigidity of Örnsköldsvik Bridge under Fatigue Loading
Original language description
This article focuses on change of rigidity of concrete bridges under cycling loading. The properties of a similar bridge structure were tested in this paper. The aim of the experiment is fatigue development. In this paper, an approach to description of fatigue of concrete is presented which is based on fuzzy logic. The proposed model establishes the relations between the resulting stiffness reduction and the number of cycles and the stress level. The service life of the bridge has been divided into tested periods, when each of these testing periods was 5 years. The simplified model changed due to continuously updated data to simulate the change of rigidity of the bridge and the change in internal forces compared to the initial design. The bridge has been tested for periods from 0 to 60 years of the service life.
