The Effect of the Cyclic Load on Örnsköldsvik Bridge

This article focuses on the reinforced concrete bridges and their behavior under cyclic loading, in a way to ensure their serviceability and general safety for people and the environment. I studied a experiment in Sweden. The aim of the experiment is onfatigue development. The properties of a similar bridge structure was tested in this thesis. Firstly the effect of harmonic vibration was simulated. The structure was divided in three parts which were further studied. A middle step was strut-and-tie modeling. When the important data were gathered I calculated a change of structure rigidity. Rigidity was tested every 5 years. The structural model changed due to new data in order to simulate change of structural rigidity from 0-60 years of service life.
