    Thermal and hygric properties of autoclaved aerated concrete

  • Original language description

    Thermal and hygric transport and storage properties of two different autoclaved aerated concretes (AAC) are studied and compared with the data published by the particular producers. Apparent moisture diffusivity is determined using the results of water sorptivity measurements, water vapor diffusion permeability is measured by the cup method. Sorption isotherms are determined by the desiccator method in the range of relative humidity of 11% - 96%. Thermal conductivity and specific heat capacity are measured by impulse technique. The obtained data will serve as input parameters for service life prediction models of AAC-based structures. Using this kind of precise data already in the design process can help in reduction of failures of AAC building envelopes.
