Original language description
The Czech Technical University in Prague is the oldest technical university in Central Europe (founded 1707 by the Emperor Josef I). It consists from eight faculties and has together 25 000 students. Geosciences are located on the Faculty of Civil Engineering (FCE); part of the training here deals with the 3D imaging technologies. The 3D scanning is nowadays a commonly used and fast technique. A variety of type's 3D scanners is available, with different precision and aim of using. This paper is focusedon 3D imaging technologies for historical monuments documentation and visualisation based on point clouds processing. For projects from this area we use aerial laser scanning, terrestrial laser scanners and a part of photogrammetry with optical correlation technique.
