Sequential Space-Filling Design Strategies
Original language description
Space-Filling Design Strategies constitute an essential part of a surrogate modeling. Two main objectives are usually placed on the resulting designs - orthogonality and space-filling properties. The last decade has witnessed the development of several methods for the latter objective. These methods are based on totally different ideas and are characterized by distant complexities. In detail, our contribution presents and compares several different techniques of sequential quasirandom numbers generators. A part of them ensures special properties like Latin Hypercube Sampling (LHS) restrictions aimed at reliability calculations; the next part are simple sequential random number generators and the last part are algorithms incorporating Delaunay triangulations for recognition of unsampled space.
