Economic Efficiency Estimation of Building Information Modeling Implementation
Original language description
BIM benefits are already specified in the literature but in the Czech Republic these methods are only starting to attract proponents. Initiation of this process usually begins with acceptance by architects. This paper presents some of the publicly available international guidelines and describes the transition from CAD technologies to BIM technologies. For any design office this means a transition not only to the new software but also a new method of work, that at the first stage makes necessary a burden considerable expense. Despite the fact that the efficiency of new technologies is already being repeatedly proved in experience of the leading world construction companies, the economic benefit of BIM technology has yet to be demonstrated in more instances in the Czech Republic.
