This paper compares possibilities of reinforcement arrangement in bridge piers and its influence on damage of the pier caused by truck impact. Four types of reinforcement arrangement are evaluated. The vehicle impact at the bridge pier is modeled with the use of ANSYS Autodyn. Nonlinear material model is used for concrete. Concrete material model with damage and strain-rate effect was chosen
