Optimization of Mixing the Various Components of Fly Ash Based on the Grain Size for Use in Composite Cements
Original language description
The use of fly ash in cement/concrete is a common thing for decades, but only to the extent up to 30% by weight of clinker. However, with regard to the sustainable development of society and still above average ash production in the Czech Republic it isappropriate to start using this material to a much greater extent. One of the basic and also the biggest problems is the high variability of fly ash. This paper deals with the optimization of mixing the various components of fly ash based on the grain size. The grading curves were obtained experimentally. Based on the grain size curves was made required optimization. This optimization could be one of the ways to problem solve high variability of fly ash.
