Hodnocení stavu vodárenské infrastruktury - objekty pro akumulaci vod

  • Original language description

Water tanks are an integral part of every water supply system. Although these objects are usually used for short-term accumulation of water, they represent points in the distribution network with a dominant risk of deterioration of water quality. There is a danger of organic contamination caused by airborne fallout which is enhanced by a faster release of water disinfectant. Water tanks also leads to an unequal exchange of water with the possible occurrence of dead zones. The paper focuses on the results of a technical audit of selected reservoirs, which have repeatedly pointed to some technical fault and flaws that may deteriorate the quality of stored water.
