Influence of Finely Ground Brick on Hydric Properties of Lime Plasters

  • Original language description

Finely ground brick is well known as a pozzolanic material able to improve mechanical properties and durability of lime based mortars and plasters. The pozzolanic admixture obviously influences the microstructure of the material what results also to different ability to transport liquid water and water vapor. Finely ground brick was found to increase the rate of transport of both water vapor and liquid water in plasters.
