*This work deals with the probabilistic description of the uncertain material parameters based on experimental data. The objectives are the development and implementation of a methodology which takes into account expert knowledge (i.e. prior information)and to update this information by using experimental data. More specifically, the goal is the identification of the parameters of viscoplasticity constitutive material models in a probabilistic framework based on material measurements. This leads to a more accurate FE-model which can predict the structural performance more accurately.
